Kathleens lifelong passion was her art. She attended the Art Institute of Chicago, and graduated from Eastern Illinois University.  As a contemporary realist, she painted a wide range of subject matter, capturing objects and people in everyday life. As an accomplished photorealist, she was best known for her cityscapes, with a career that spanned over five decades. Her work was exhibited in galleries from New York City to Sarasota, FL, and her work can be found as part of private, public, and corporate collections all over the United States. As stated in her own words; "Our visual world gives me great pleasure. A subject may attract me because of its color, contrasts of light, or its geometry. Painting people and objects in their surroundings is my celebration of life".
