Desire Honore Berard

Desire Honore Berard (French 1845-)

French artist born at Saint-Pierre-de-Bressieux, in Isere, 22nd Sepember 1845. He was a student of Guichard at the Ecole de Beaux-Arts de Lyon, later at the Ecole de Beaux-Arts in Paris under Cabanel and DYvon. He has his studio in Lyon, and later in Grenoble. He was well known for his Portraits and for his salon painting "Visiteurs au Musee de Grenoble". He also exhibited at the Salon de Paris in 1868 and 1869, showing a portrait and a still life.
