Keizo Koyama

Keizo(w) Koyama (Japanese 1898-1987)

Japanese painter born in Komoro, Japan in August of 1898. He studied in Paris under Charles Guerin, and developed a modernist style. He exhibited at the Salon d'Automne on a regular basis and later became know for his colorful still-life compositions. He travelled throughout Europe including a stay in Toledo Spain in the late 1920's. 

A museum in Komoro, Nagano Prefecture, Japan was founded in 1975. (Photo of museum included in slideshow)
